On July 19^th, laying of asphalt surface course of tourism highway project from Guyuan downtown to Liupanshan Long March Scenic Spot have been completed, which indicates that main project of this highway project has been completed smoothly.

Guyuan tourism highway project is first tourism communication project of NingxigGuyuan City for developing “across-the-region tourism” grand strategy. This project, located in Kaicheng Town, Yuanzhou District of Guyuan City, primarily consists of main lane and slow lane. The main lane, total length 23.1km, is constructed in accordance with standard of two-way two-lane third-grade highway, with design speed 40km, subgrade width 7.5m and pavement width 7m. The main lane is primarily constructed with normal asphalt concrete course with partial sections being concrete slabs.Slow lane, with total length 12.7km, subgrade width 4m and pavement width 3m is primarily constructed with normal asphalt concrete course with partial sections being concrete slabs. There are 8 (eight) bridges in the whole line, of which 6 are hollow-slab bridges and 2 are T-beam bridges.

The completion of this project not only improved communication infrastructure in Ningxia Guyuan and stimulate local economic development, but also had significant meaning for constructing village-town integration along the highway.
